1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the CampusVilla mobile application ("App") and any associated services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. CampusVilla is a platform connecting students with accommodation providers (Landlords). We are not property managers, agents, or insurers.

2. User Roles and Eligibility

Users must be at least 18 years of age. CampusVilla serves two primary user types:

Students: Individuals seeking verified off-campus accommodation near their universities.
Landlords: Property owners or authorized managers listing their properties for rent.

By using CampusVilla, you represent that you are either a registered student or a legitimate property owner/manager with the right to lease the listed space.

3. Listing Accuracy and Verification

While CampusVilla employs verification processes for landlords and listings, users are encouraged to perform their own due diligence before making payments. Landlords are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including pricing, availability, and amenities.

4. Connection Fees and Payments

CampusVilla operates on a "Connection Fee" model to facilitate secure transactions and verified introductions:

One-Time Fee: Students pay a flat 6% connection fee (based on the rent value) to unlock the direct platform messaging and booking feature with a specific landlord.
Payment Channels: Fees are processed securely via Paynow, supporting EcoCash, InnBucks, and other domestic payment methods.
Non-Refundable: Connection fees are non-refundable once communication with the landlord is initiated, as the service (the introduction and verification) is deemed delivered.

5. Platform Conduct

By using the Service, you agree that you will not:

Post fraudulent listings or bait-and-switch offers.
Harrass, threaten, or discriminate against any student or landlord.
Attempt to bypass the platform's connection fee to solicit contact details.
Post misleading photos or hide critical property defects.
Use the app for any illegal purposes or to distribute spam.

6. Limitation of Liability

CampusVilla is not responsible for the physical condition of properties, lease agreements made outside the platform, or disputes between tenants and landlords. We do not handle security deposits or monthly rent payments; these must be settled directly between the parties through their preferred legal channels.

7. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of the photos and descriptions you post. However, you grant CampusVilla a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute this content for the purpose of operating and promoting the App.
